The Californian Church of Stand Up Comedy

Fostering community through stand-up comedy and comedy writing workshops, live comedy shows to unblock your blessings. Our main aim is to provide outreach programs to teach stand-up comedy and sitcom writing to at-risk youth, and to individuals recovering from alcohol and substance abuse within residential rehab treatment centers. We ask for donations to serve our community through live stand-up comedy workshops and by teaching stand-up comedy to underprivileged and minority groups. We unite and bring joy to our community through The Californian Church of Stand Up Comedy, Los Angeles. We are fully inclusive of the LGBTQI community. We are currently urgently seeking grants and tax-free gifts and donations to offer more assisted teaching of stand up comedy classes by established LA stand up comics to inspire, mentor and support minority and diverse groups in Los Angeles area through the art of comedy.

Join us in using the art of live comedy to foster community engagement and cultural enrichment. Church sermons comprise of a brief group prayer and blessings, stand up comedy and lots of music.

Unite through Stand-Up Comedy

Experience the joy of laughter and the power of unity in our stand-up comedy workshops. Workshops teaching stand up comedy to at risk youth and local minorities.

The support for stand up comedians like me has made such a difference, I have attended stand up comedy workshops and also an in-person 1 day "writing for sitcom" class as part of the outreach program. The sense of community feels like an extension of the comedy community/family. The stand up comedy based sermons are a wonderful blend of prayer, stand up comedy & music. Comedy has saved my life many times over, and this community gives me life. I also was given help with my car when it broke down to help with costs.
